Quad crash hospitalizes one

A quadding accident near Beaver Lake has hospitalized one man with serious injuries.

The incident occurred Sunday evening around 6 p.m.

Initially Central Okanagan Search and Rescue had been called to aid in the rescue, but the BC Ambulance service saved the man themselves and airlifted him to hospital in Kelowna.

A woman who was camping nearby said the man was riding his quad with friends and family when he suddenly lost control and was badly injured.

Lake Country Fire Department and RCMP could not be immediately reached for details.
