OK Sun accepts ALS challenge
The Okanagan Sun football team has been challenged.
The BC Football Conference club has been challenged by Westwood Retirement Resort to take the ALS 'Ice Bucket Challenge'.
The Sun have accepted.
Members of the team will take part in the challenge Monday afternoon from 4:30 until 7 p.m. at Westwood Retirement Resort on Elliott Road behind Save-On Foods in West Kelowna.
The challenge is a bit different than the traditional bucket of ice water on the head.
Members of the team will take turns perched precariously above ice water in a dunk tank.
People in attendance get a chance to dunk a random player after making a donation to ALS.
There will also be a barbeque with proceeds going to the ALS Foundation.
