Parkinson rec pool to stay open

The Parkinson Recreation Centre’s aquatic area will no longer require a temporary closure as originally scheduled for Sept. 2 to 6.

The centre’s annual general maintenance will still happen and some amenities including the men’s pool change room will be closed during that time, but the pool will remain open.

The public is encouraged to come out and enjoy the 25-metre swimming pool, children’s pool, hot tub and steam room. Plus for a few hours each day the lifeguards will open the slide, rope swing and turn on the spray feature.

Current members at H20 Adventure + Fitness Centre and the Kelowna Family Y are invited to use the pool at the Parkinson Recreation Centre during the maintenance closures scheduled at those facilities.

Members will be required to show their valid membership card before gaining access to the Parkinson Recreation Centre’s pool.
