Large bust nets multiple drugs

A three-month long drug trafficking investigation culminated in the arrest of two men earlier this month.

Officers searched a home in the 1200 block of Leathead Road on August 1 and found drugs, cash, weapons and stolen property.

In total police seized:

  • 61 grams of cocaine
  • 88.7 grams of methamphetamine
  • 244 prescription pills
  • 32 vials of anabolic steroids
  • 15.5 grams of heroin
  • 49.4 grams of marijuana
  • 11 grams of hash oil
  • 29.6 grams of crack cocaine
  • drug paraphernalia
  • $4,100 cash
  • 1 taser-type weapon
  • 1 stolen motorbike

“The sale of illicit drugs erodes the fabric of our society by supporting criminal organizations and the violence and crime they bring into our communities,” says Cst. Kris Clark of the Kelowna RCMP.

“The Kelowna Regional RCMP will continue to target prolific offenders and drug traffickers in an effort to reduce crime in the Central Okanagan.”

Jonathan Orgill, 33, and Kody Perrault, 21, have both been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking.
