Rollover victim critical

A 49-year-old Kelowna man is in critical condition in Kelowna General Hospital following a single vehicle rollover in the Joe Rich area late Saturday afternoon.

Police say the driver, and sole occupant, rolled his Jeep CJ while travelling on Victor Forest Service Road near Goudie Forest Service Road.

Friends travelling nearby were able to call for help.

The victim was airlifted to hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The extent of his injuries were not made available.

Cst. Jesse O'Donaghey says police do not suspect alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash and have not yet spoken with police to contact Cst. Sheldon Herman at 250-762-3300.
