Pirates in the Park
A gang of pirates took over Kerry Park in Kelowna Sunday afternoon, and a crowd of families watched them do it.
Pirates in the Park, written by Tracy Ross, will be performed at three different playgrounds throughout the summer as a part of Parks Alive! summer programming.
Sunday's show brought out a range of age groups to take in the play.
These are the times the show is being put on:
- July 27th @ Gyro Beach, 1 p.m.
- Aug 10th @ City Park, 1 p.m.
- Aug 21st @ Gerstmar Park, 7 p.m.
The community is invited to join in for this highly interactive, 45 minute show.
Bumbershoot brings to life the playground and promises to "take the audience on a rollicking adventure."
Parks Alive! presents live concerts and other arts-based activities throughout July and August in many of Kelowna's most unique outdoor venues from North Glenmore, to Rutland, East Kelowna, downtown, the Mission, Kettle Valley, and Black Mountain.
Parks Alive! produces over 50 events each year, primarily in the summer months, throughout many of Kelowna’s parks and public spaces.
Entertainment is family-friendly and suitable for people of all ages and tastes. Performers range from local artists to world-class professionals, performing in a variety of musical genres and styles.
