25 year search continues

A quarter century has passed since 'Charles' Karoly John Horvath-Allan went missing, but police continue to look for clues in his disappearance.

In 1988, a 20-year-old British subject, known as Charles Horvath, decided to hitchhike across Canada, the country of his birth.

In the spring of 1989, he registered at the Tiny Town Campground in Kelowna and was working at Flintstones Bedrock City, an amusement park which used to be situated at Highway 97 and McCurdy.

Charles maintained contact with his family throughout his travels by various forms of communication, so when he failed to finalize arrangements to meet them in Hong Kong as planned, he was reported missing.

He was last seen in the summer of 1989 and his whereabouts remain unknown. Police continue to seek assistance from the public and believe that someone has information that will lead to his whereabouts and what happened to him that summer.

The police investigation will remain open and active until Charles is found.

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of 'Charles' Karoly John Horvath-Allan, please contact your local police.
