Pro life warning
If you live near Kelowna General Hospital you could find an interesting card in your mailbox this weekend.
Kelowna's Right to Life Society says it will distribute 1,000 postcards to homes in the hospital area. The mail drop began Friday morning.
According to information released by the society, people living in the hospital region 'can expect some disturbing news in their mailboxes this weekend.'
The society says there are four different messages on the full colour postcards.
One proclaims that pioneering feminist Alice Paul was pro life, another suggests that if smoking hurts your unborn child, imagine what abortion does to her, the third focuses on forgiveness for those who have chosen abortion, and the fourth shows an aborted baby in a gloved hand.
“Abortion continues in our society because abortion is hidden behind sterile clinic doors," says society Executive Director, Marlon Barton.
"When its graphic reality is exposed, it is no longer possible for anyone with a functioning conscience to maintain the falsehood that it is simply the removal of ‘a clump of tissue."
Citing online sources, the Kelowna Right to Life Society claims approximately 700 to 1,000 abortions are performed annually at KGH.
