People celebrating Canada Day in Kelowna should expect road closures in the downtown area.
Vehicle traffic will be restricted from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Water Street from Cawston Avenue to Sunset Drive.
The Knox Mountain roadway will be closed to vehicle traffic at 8 pm.
Parking availability is as follows:
Access to the Delta and Prospera parking lots will be permitted.
Dolphins Lot: Closed from 12 p.m. on June 30 to 12 p.m. on July 2.
Mill Street Lot (Kerry Park): Closed July 1 from 6 a.m. until after fireworks show.
Water Street – on street parking: All stalls on the west side of Water Street from the boat launch to Stuart Park will be restricted to aid in pedestrian flow.
Unmanned barricades will be in place all day July 1 to separate vehicles from pedestrians.
Parking meters will be bagged on Water Street from Cawston Avenue to Sunset to accommodate Road closure from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 1.
Bernard Avenue – on street parking: All stalls in front of Kerry Park will be closed to public parking for RCMP vehicles and crowd dispersal after fireworks.
Queensway/Mill Street: Require 1 tour bus parking stall for load/unload of performers at Stuart Park.
Courtesy Tows will be managed by Festivals Kelowna – towed to a lot at the intersection of Ellis Street and Doyle Avenue.
