No dough for Subway robber
An attempted armed robbery at a Subway in Kelowna didn't go as planned.
According to the manager of the restaurant at Lawrence and Gordon a man entered the store, brandished a steak knife and demanded cash.
She said they mentioned the cops and the man left the restaurant empty handed.
A man matching the description of the suspect was arrested for robbery a short distance to the Subway.
A knife was also recovered.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Police say the suspect was wanted on several outstanding Warrants for Arrest.
Clayton Vicars Peter Mote has since been charged with Robbery although further charges may be recommended pending further investigation.
Mote was remanded into custody to appear in court on June 11, 2014.
