More car chaos in Kelowna

Another motor vehicle incident is slowing traffic near Orchard Park mall in Kelowna.

Just after 3 p.m. emergency crews were called to a two-car motor vehicle incident at the intersection of Leckie Road and Baron Road.

Three police cars, one ambulance, one fire truck and two tow trucks were on scene by 3:30 p.m.

RCMP on the scene said it appeared someone had failed to clear the intersection.

A witness said that a van was in the intersection and took a late right turn directly into a grey Dodge Neon crossing the intersection. Debris littered the road after the incident.

The four passengers of the van were unhurt, although their van suffered considerable damage to its front end.

The Neon was also extensively damaged and the front seat passenger is being brought to hospital with unknown injuries.

The driver of the Neon did not appear injured.

Bystanders said they heard the impact almost half-a-block away.
