Hit and run at Superstore

A 24-year-old man is recovering after being hit by a black Audi while riding his bike near Superstore on Friday.

Just after 6 p.m. an emergency call went out for a pedestrian struck by Superstore.

Myrna Park said her son Carson was riding his bike home from work, when a middle-aged man driving a black Audi failed to signal on a turn into Superstore gas station, cutting Park off.

Carson approached the vehicle to talk to the man, who then took off causing him to fall off his bike.

As the car left the lot heading north, it ran over Park's arm.

Luckily Park only suffered minor scrapes and bruises and nothing was broken. The vehicle left a tire track on his arm.

"It's bike to work week, which makes the whole thing ironic," said Park.

He said the car is a two-door and had BC plates. It was last seen heading in the direction of Costco.
