Quigley remains in remand
Ryan Quigley remains in jail, charged with second-degree murder as his defence counsel continues the process of gathering information.
He made a short court appearance Monday morning, via video, but did not have much to say.
Quigley was arrested and charged last month, just days after his fiancée Aimee Parkes was found dead in the home they shared at Hiawatha Mobile Home park. He was arrested in a back alley on April 4th.
Residents living at Hiawatha at the time of her death also speculated that Quigley had been delving into illegal activities, but police have not confirmed anything.
Police found Parkes' body at the couples home after she failed to show up to work April 1.
The death was deemed suspicious and Quigley was quickly identified as a person of interest. He remains in remand at his own consent as a bail hearing has yet to take place.
The matter was adjourned as his lawyer requested more disclosure.
He will appear at the Kelowna Courthouse by video again next month.
