Police incident on bridge

Update 4:15 p.m.: Cst. Kris Clark is confirming one female is in police custody, after failing to stop her car at an RCMP road block.

The road block was set up in West Kelowna, RCMP are not saying why the road block was initiated or its location.

The woman allegedly passed the road block and was arrested after crossing the William R. Bennett Bridge.

RCMP were on the look-out for suspects after a stabbing and a reported carjacking in Kelowna Tuesday morning. One of the suspects was driving a brown vehicle and a woman was also wanted for questioning, but police are not yet linking the incidents.

A police incident is underway right now on the eastbound exit of the William R Bennett Bridge.

Several RCMP cruisers swarmed in on a brown vehicle as it made its way across the bridge heading into Kelowna.

Traffic is backed up in both directions.
