A cyclist crashed on Knox Mountain today and temporarily interrupted the hillclimb.
The Knox Mountain Hillclimb was temporarily interrupted today by a cyclist who crashed on the mountain trail.
Emergency crews were called out for the unidentified cyclist who sustained injuries to his left shoulder and hip.
The last report was that he was in hospital and recovering.
Hillclimb organizer Bryan Fulton said the race was only interrupted for 45 minutes thanks to their emergency plan.
"It was taken care of as part of our emergency plan with the city of Kelowna, it's a really great partnership," he said.
The racing is all finished now and organizers are compiling results.
