ATV rider flown to hospital
Lake Country firefighters and BC Ambulance members rescued an injured ATV rider off of Beaver Lake Road Sunday afternoon.
The patient was flown to Kelowna General Hospital.
The rescue involved ten firefighters, two BC ambulance personnel and a BC ambulance supervisor.
It was called in around 2:45; the team staged by the gate on Beaver Lake Road and brought the injured rider out to a clearing, for the helicopter, on a specially outfitted ATV.
The air ambulance came in from Kamloops.
