TEDx seeks student speakers
Calling all students with big ideas -- the TEDx program wants you!
TEDx, in collaboration with the Canadian Student Leadership Conference (CSLC) 2014, is launching two student speaker competitions as part of this year’s event.
TEDxKelowna 2014 will feature the inspiring stories that TED and TEDx are famous for, but this year two Canadian students will also get a chance to share their big ideas on the TEDxKelowna 2014 stage.
All Canadian students, who are 10 years of age or older, are eligible to compete in one of the two competitions: Okanagan Student Speaker Competition or National Student Speaker Competition.
Students are invited to compete by submitting a 1-minute YouTube video to TEDxKelowna, where they share their big idea.
If you know a student (or are a student) who can inspire others, you can click here and apply.
Applications are now open and will close on May 13, 2014. (Download the competition package)
At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x equals independently organized TED event.
The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.
