Snelson trial to be moved

Neil Snelson will be going to trial once again, but it won’t be in Kelowna.

The new manslaughter trial into the death of Jennifer Cusworth will take place in Kamloops, after counsels for both sides agreed to the move.

Snelson, who is still in custody after being convicted in 2011, is serving a 15-year sentence.

He successfully appealed for a new trial and won a unanimous decision late last year.

Cusworth’s body was found in 1993. She was last seen a few days before at a large house party.

Snelson was finally caught in 2009 after new DNA evidence showed he had sex with her just before she died. Snelson admitted to the sex, but denied killing her.

The case has been adjourned to April 28 to fix a date.
