Hwy. 33 collision

A two car collision, on Hwy. 33 and Ziprick Rd., sent one person to hospital and slowed traffic Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened at around 1:30 p.m. when RCMP say a car turning left across Hwy. 33 hit an oncoming car.

The driver of the car attempting to make the turn was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The two passengers in his car were not injured.

The driver of the other car was also uninjured. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

Cst. Steve Holmes says they want to remind people that if you are going to be crossing into incoming traffic to ensure you look first and that you give yourself ample time to make the turn.

He says the driver will be facing a charge of failing to yield on a left turn, under the Motor Vehicle Act.
