Smart car picked on

A couple of youths are in trouble after allegedly deciding to flip a smart car over last night in the parking lot of the Rutland arena.

Cst. Kris Clark says the RCMP were notified shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday night that a group of youths had apparently flipped the Smart FourTwo on its side, causing extensive damage.

Two youths were detained for the investigation, but later released, without charges, to their parents.

Several witnesses in the area pointed the police in the direction of the suspects. Police are now asking for those witnesses to come forward as well as anyone else who may be able to identify suspects.

The vehicle was seized for further forensic analysis and the investigation is ongoing.
