Learn to curl at Stuart Park

Tuesday night will be your last chance to enjoy skating at the Stuart Park ice rink, as weather conditions have already caused the ice to soften.

Then, beginning Wednesday morning, the rink will be turned into a temporary curling rink from 8:30 – 10 a.m.

The Kelowna Curling Club will be hosting this event as a way to introduce people to a sport they may have never tried and residents can come down and try their hand at throwing stones.

With these spring like conditions, Wednesday will also mark the opening of Kasugai Gardens for 2014. They will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. until Victoria Day weekend. After that, the garden will be open until 8 p.m.

The gardens were completed in 1987 to symbolize the friendship between Kelowna and its sister city, Kasugai, Japan.
