Laptops stolen at UBCO

Students at UBCO are being warned to be extra vigilant with their electronic goods while on campus.

Police received four separate complaints of laptop thefts and one complaint of a theft of an iphone.

Cst. Kris Clark says after reviewing surveillance video, police believe that the thefts are likely related.

The video released by the RCMP shows a suspect, but the cameras do not show the person committing the acts. The footage is from all over the campus, the thief does not appear to be targeting one specific area.

The suspect is described as

    •    Caucasian male
    •    Early to mid-20’s
    •    Short brown hair
    •    Typically seen wearing a dark hooded sweater, blue jeans and a black backpack

We will be adding the video as soon as it is processed.

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, leaving a tip online at or by texting your tip to CRIMES (274637) ktown.
