Dike work closures to Mission Creek
The Regional District of the Central Okanagan will be working along the Mission Creek Greenway this month, and that means it will be periodically closed for dike integrity vegetation maintenance.
Work will begin March 3rd and there will be temporary closures between Lakeshore Road and Mission Creek Regional Park.
The Ministry of the Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations, Public Safety and Protection Branch will be treating limited areas of brush and hazardous trees to enable visual inspections of the dike during periods of highs flows in Mission Creek, and to ensure that the integrity of the dike is not impaired.
The RDCO is asking users of the greenway to please obey the barricades, signs and flag people.
For more information on the trail closures, you can contact the Regional Parks office at 250-469-6232.
