Car crashes through fence

The slick roads surrounding Kelowna claimed another car on Sunday afternoon after a young woman lost control going around a curve on Glenmore Road.

An RCMP officer at the scene said road conditions are to be blamed in the crash as the driver skidded into a ditch and broke through a chain link fence near the Glenmore Landfill.

The driver was briefly treated at the scene, but was not taken to hospital.

There are also reports of accidents in the South Okanagan and on the Okanagan Connector. Earlier today a car lost control on  Dilworth Drive and broke off a tree and fire hydrant.

Officers are cautioning drivers to slow down and drive carefully.
