Pedestrian killed, Kelowna man charged
A Kelowna man has been charged after allegedly running over a pedestrian in New Westminster last year.
Gemma Snowball, a 25-year-old Australian woman, was struck by a car on March 12, 2013 near the intersection of 6th Street and 6th Avenue.
She was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital, but died of her injuries a few days later.
Ryan Follack, 29, is now facing charges of driving without due care and driving without reasonable consideration.
The investigation took almost one year to complete, but the Crown approved charges late last week.
Follack is scheduled to appear in court on March 26 in New Westminster.
