Video - Carmen Weld, Voice over - Trevor Rockliffe

UPDATE 11:33 A.M.:

Police have just left the scene in Rutland where a body of a man was found on the sidewalk early Saturday morning.

RCMP forensic investigators were on the scene for over seven hours taking photos and collecting evidence.

A large blood splatter could be seen where the mans body was found.

"I witnessed the deceased individual lay stationary on that sidewalk for a period of hours," shared Castanet reader Dayton.

"Around 4 am I watched them put up tarps and lay down a canopy to block any view of the crime scene from public," he adds.

By 10 a.m. Saturday morning RCMP were using forensic cameras and a RCMP quadrotor helicopter drone to take arial shots of the scene.

RCMP have released that on January 25 at 2:06 am, Kelowna RCMP officers discovered the body of a 32-year-old Kelowna man on the sidewalk in the 100 block of Highway 33 West.
