Crash slows traffic in Lower Mission

A two-vehicle crash near the intersection of Gordon Drive and Cook Road is affecting traffic in the Lower Mission.

Gordon is down to one lane headed south and witnesses on the scene say traffic is becoming congested.

Both drivers are said to be walking around their vehicles and do not seem to need medical attention at this time.

"The northbound Ford attempted a left turn into the strip mall and didn’t see the southbound vehicle, and the crash occurred," said RCMP Cst. Lise Marion.

She also noted that the driver of the Ford will be issued a ticket for failure to yield.

Both cars needed to be towed from the scene.
