Update:Three overdue snowmobilers have been found safe and sound according to Duane Tresnich the vice president of Central Okanagan Search and Rescue (COSAR).
COSAR was called out along with the Kelowna snowmobile club to the backside of the Greystokes area around 6 a.m. to track down three snowmobilers who didn't make it home Sunday night.
"Two of the three machines got stuck, so what they did was just hunkered down because they were stuck and it was close to dark. They built a fire and have plenty of food and water," explains Tresnich.
Around 4 a.m. the three started to work their way out and just as COSAR arrived on scene they met up with the snowmobilers.
Tresnich says the men had everything they needed to spend the night and were very prepared, other than being a little cold there were to be in good health.
However, Tresnich warns the conditions in the back country are treacherous right now and warns those headed out on snowmobiles to be very cautious.
