Injured snowboarder at Big White

At approximately 11:40 a.m. on Friday, Big White Ski Patrol received a report of an injured snowboarder.
A 35-year-old male, a season's pass holder, sustained a hip injury when he collided with a tree in Moonlight Bowl near Jamieson Ridge.
As this was an out of bounds rescue, RCMP and COSAR (Central Okanagan Search and Rescue) were dispatched, along with avalanche technicians.
Patrollers responded from the top of Gem Lake chair and arrived on scene at 12:49 p.m.
BC Ambulance Service was dispatched for what was described as a lower back/hip injury.
