Assault victim in serious condition
Kelowna RCMP are looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed an assault on Leon Avenue early Wednesday morning.
At about 3 a.m. New Year's Day police were alerted to a man found laying on the sidewalk in the 200 block of Leon Avenue.
He had injuries to his face.
The 29-year-old remains in Kelowna General Hospital in serious condition.
No arrests have yet been made.
Police are asking anyone who has not yet spoken with police and either witnessed the incident or has knowledge of it to contact RCMP at 250-762-3300 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
