Further delays in Bacon shooting case

It has been well over two years since the Aug 2011 shooting of Jonathan Bacon shocked Kelowna; yet there is still little known about the gang slaying.

The three men arrested and charged in the daylight shooting outside Kelowna's Delta Grand: Jason McBride, Jujhar Khun-Khun and Michael Kerry Hunter Jones, appeared in a Kelowna courtroom via video Monday morning.

Shortly after they were brought on screen the crown attorney cited “procedural issues” as the reason the file would be delayed again until Feb 10, 2014. When a trial date will be set, is still unknown.

The three men are charged with killing the high-ranking member of the Red Scorpion gang and also the attempted murder of four other people, including a member of the Hells Angels and a member of the Independent Soldiers.

A woman who was left paralyzed during the shooting has also filed a civil lawsuit in Kelowna Supreme Court against the three men.
