Manhunt on after robbery

UPDATE NOV 25 11:30 A.M. - Two men remain at large following an armed robbery at the Mac's Convenience Store on Richter early Saturday morning.

Cst. Kris Clark says two men entered the store about 2 a.m. and threatened the clerk with a handgun before fleeing the scene on foot with a small amount of cash.

With the assistance of police dogs, the men were tracked to The Verve in Glenmore where a third man was taken into custody.

Police further state the handgun used in the robbery had been reported stolen about an hour earlier from an apartment in the 1900 block of Burtch Road.

Clark says police are actively searching for the remaining suspects as well as the stolen firearm.

Anyone with information pertaining to the case are asked to contact Kelowna RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

UPDATE 11:20 a.m.

According to witnesses, police were apparently at the Glenmore Verve apartment buildings the whole day investigating someone implicated in the Mac's armed robbery.

Resident Nicole took the above video at 11 a.m. yesterday morning.

She says cops were able to gain access to the underground parking and had a tow truck waiting. She thinks the towed car was related to the wanted person.

"After the car was towed away I saw a cop enter the front door of the building. I came home last night around 11 p.m. and all the cop cars were still here," shared Nicole.

Another resident of the Verve, Ryan, says, "They were also stopping cars and checking license plates outside the apartments."

RCMP have not released an official statement on the incident, stay tuned for details.
