Get out your red party dress and bow-ties for an event of the season.
November 2 marks the 2nd Annual The Heart Truth Kelowna: Red Dress Event a fundraiser for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
A fashionable evening featuring: refreshments from The View Winery, appetizers, a silent auction and of course….The Heart Truth Fashion Show.
This year the show features models from all walks of life that have a personal connection to heart disease and stroke. Each model will be wearing a Red Dress from a local boutique and a signature dress created by the design students at the Centre for Arts and Technology.
As a special bonus these CATO dresses will be auctioned off during the event.
“We are thrilled the design students at CATO have volunteered to make these dresses and then donate them to our cause. The support this year has been exceptional, The View Winery is back and Harmony Acura is on board – it just shows that women’s heart health is, as it should be, everyone’s priority!” says Jessica Samuels, Okanagan Kootenay Area Manager, Heart and Stroke Foundation
The hard truth or heart truth of the matter is that heart disease and stroke is a leading cause of death for women in Canada – but most don’t know it.
The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s The Heart Truth campaign calls on women to put their own health first.
The Red Dress is the official symbol of the campaign and is celebrated in The Heart Truth Events taking place all across the country. Kelowna’s event is the only one of its kind in BC.
