Blame shifter or decision maker?
Aug 22, 2013 / 5:00 am
Each and every single one of us has a great thing in common and that one thing is a CHOICE! Throughout our days we have many decisions to make… work, family, health and fitness. The option is ours to take the time to weigh out the benefits or negative results, based on each decision needing to be made for the best outcome.
Each choice allows us the opportunity to either make or break our desired goals and/or direction of focus. This next decision, once again is yours to make! Do you stay aware and accountable of the fact that each previous decision you have made has helped you to achieve where you are today?! The question is, are you happy or are you unsatisfied with the final outcome of your previous choices in areas of career, health and/or lifestyle?
The final decision to be made is what do you do with the new found understanding of your previous choices? Do you choose to be a blame shifter or decision maker?
A blame shifter - someone who looks at today’s reality, unsatisfied with the outcome and blames it on outside circumstances (not enough time, not enough money, someone else’s decision or doing!)
A decision maker - someone who weighs out every option when making the next decision. A person who puts their goals, focus and priority as well as finances first and takes ownership over each choice made!
If you find yourself worrying about added weight gained or lack of health or prosperity, take the time to look at the choices you have previously made. Choices you feel could have been made differently… something as simple as choosing sleep over getting up early for that pre-work workout or how about that fast food drive through for convenience rather than a few extra minutes in the kitchen to pack a healthy and nourishing lunch. Maybe it was the choice made that allowed you to continue thinking about how unhappy you are rather than making the choice to think about what can be done to change your thoughts to powerful and positive ones!
