2 arrested at PM protest

RCMP confirm two people were arrested during a heated visit to Kamloops by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Two men were arrested Wednesday during protests outside the Coast Hotel, where Trudeau was speaking.

The men in their mid-fifties were from separate protest groups, says RCMP Cpl. Dan Moskaluk.

One of the suspects may face criminal charges; the other was released without charge.

Also Wednesday, things got heated during Trudeau's town hall event at Thompson Rivers University.

First Nation members of the audience voiced their anger and frustration, loudly interrupting the prime minister to condemn recent arrests at a pipeline blockade in North-Central B.C.

Hecklers called him a liar and weak leader.
