RCMP say Kamloops man Troy Gold was murdered, days after he was reported missing.
"Through investigation, the RCMP determined that Gold's disappearance was suspicious and further investigation revealed that Troy Gold had been murdered," Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said in a news release.
Gold, 35, had last been seen Oct. 1 at his home. Since then, the RCMP Serious Crime Unit has investigated a location at Lac du Bois and a home on the North Shore in Kamloops.
Police say Gold's killing is believed to have been targeted and there is no risk to the public.
No arrests have been made, but RCMP say suspects have been identified.
