A 36-year-old man has been arrested in Kamloops after RCMP found a loaded sawed-off shotgun in his backpack.
Police were called to Seymour St. and 6 Ave. around 12 p.m. March 5 to find a man acting strangely, rolling on the ground and unable to communicate with officers.
Police say he was carrying a small baggie that appeared to have the residue of a controlled substance in it.
He was arrested and taken to the detachment. When police were searching the man's items they discovered the loaded sawed-off shotgun.
All evidence has been forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service who will determine charges.
Kamloops RCMP say the man is known to police.
