The RCMP's Emergency Response Team was dispatched to an area west of Kamloops Saturday for what police are calling a “domestic situation.”
Jut before 11 a.m., the unit, which deals with situations involving extreme danger or firearms, was sent to an area near Highway 1 and the Sebiston Creek Forest Service Road, just west of Savona.
Police say the ERT was dispatched “in the interests of police and public safety,” but provided no further details.
Police have asked the public to avoid the area, so they can resolve the situation safely.
