Pizza shop thief pulls knife

Kamloops RCMP are looking for a robber who brandished a knife at Papa John’s Pizza, located on Highway 5A, on Saturday afternoon around 1 p.m.

Police are appealing to the public for help.

The man entered the store and asked for change from a $20 bill.

"When the clerk advised him that it was not the store’s policy to make change, the suspect showed the clerk a knife, grabbed money from the register and left. He ran south on foot," said Cpl. Jodi Shelkie, RCMP spokesperson.

The bearded suspect is described as between 35 and 40 years old, standing 6-foot-3 with an average build.

He was wearing a black sweater with a hood pulled over his head, a dark-coloured baseball cap and jeans.

Anyone with information on the robbery or who can identify the suspects asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
