Hunting brazen bank robber

Police in Kamloops are after a brazen afternoon bank robber.

A man walked into the downtown TD Canada Trust on Victoria Street at 1:35 p.m. on Friday and "insinuated" he had a weapon, said police.

He left on foot, and gave RCMP the slip.

"The suspect is described as possibly a First Nations male, about 50 years old," said RCMP in a statement. "He has a thin build and was hunched over when he walked. He was wearing a light brown jacket."

No one was injured during the robbery.

Investigators are asking anyone who has information to contact them at 250-828-3000 or through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
