A man used a knife to fight with police in Kamloops Friday night.

Just after midnight, police received a report of a man walking in the Tranquille Road area in a t-shirt, waving his arms erratically.

Police found the man at Tranquille Road and Clapperton Avenue and observed he was under the influence of some type of drug.

The man became uncooperative with police and brandished a knife while fighting off the officers.
