The best in business

Kamloops Chamber of Commerce and TD announced their finalists Thursday evening for the 30th annual Business Excellence Awards at a special event hosted by Kamloops Lincoln.

About 200 people turned out for the announcement, crowding into the dealership's lobby to see who made the cut.

"This is Kamloops Ford Lincoln's fifth year of hosting this event and this is by far the biggest turnout we've had," said Steve Davidson, general manager of the dealership.

“The chamber is proud of our business community and therefore, we believe, to reach this stage of award finalist is a major achievement," said chamber president Ryan Scorgie. "We look forward to revealing the recipients of our 18 Business Excellence Awards on Oct. 22."

"These finalists have made a real impact in our community and we wish them all good luck,” said Lindy Baird, TD branch manager.

The 48 independent selection committee members now have the task of interviewing each finalist to determine the winners of the coveted Kamloops Chamber of Commerce and TD Business Excellence Awards.

Winners of the awards will be announced at the Business Excellence Awards Gala, to be held the evening of Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016. The gala event always sells out early, so the public is advised to reserve their seats soon.

Tickets are available for $135+GST ($115+GST for Chamber members) at kamloopschamber.ca or by calling the chamber office at 250.372.7722.
