Gas station robbery

Police are searching for the man behind a robbery Monday evening in Kamloops.

Kamloops RCMP received a report of a robbery at the 10 Avenue Petro Canada at approximately 9:20 p.m.

“A male suspect entered the store, demanding cash and cigarettes from the clerk,” explains Cpl. Cheryl Bush.

“The male told the clerk that he had a gun, but no weapon was produced, and the clerk was not injured during the incident.”

The man is described as being First Nation, approximately six feet tall with a thin build, wearing dark clothing and white running shoes at the time.

“The jacket worn by the suspect had a “Can Am West” logo on the front of it,” adds Bush.

RCMP are continuing their investigation into this robbery and are asking anyone who may have information to call Kamloops Detachment at 250-828-3000 or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
