Update -- 3:30 p.m.

The BC Coroner has now identified the woman killed in a early Sunday morning crash near Kamloops.

Amber Marie Lukow, 30, of Kamloops was the driver and sole occupant of a car travelling on Shuswap Road just after midnight when it left the road and struck a wooden fence. She was found deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The body of a 30-year-old Kamloops woman was found at the scene of a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning.

The RCMP rural unit, the Tk'Emlups RCMP, responded to the single vehicle collision in the 3600 block of Shuswap Rd at 1:00 a.m.

“The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene,” says Sgt. Michael Buxton-Carr.

The RCMP Southeast District Traffic Service and BC Coroners Service also attended the scene to conduct their investigations.

“The Tk'Emlups RCMP continue their work to determine whether weather conditions and/or the consumption of alcohol were contributing factors to this collision,” adds Buxton-Carr.
