Liquor store robbery

On Saturday, at about 8:30 p.m., Kamloops RCMP responded to a robbery at the Big Daddy Liquor Store in the 1800 block of the East Trans Canada Highway.  

A male suspect entered the store and demanded money from employees and produced what is believed to be a handgun. The suspect then fled on foot, he discarded clothing as he ran from the business. The male also threw away the gun, it was discovered to be an imitation handgun. No one was injured during the incident.
Police Dog Services along with Kamloops RCMP members attended and established a perimeter and searched for the suspect.  
RCMP described the suspect as:

  • a thin native male
  • 6 feet tall
  • wearing a black long sleeve shirt with a white decal on the back
  • black pants
  • black ball cap with a white skull
  • wearing a copper coloured wig
  • sunglasses
  • black converse style shoes with a thick rubber white toe

Anyone with information about this robbery is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
