Four arrested, gun recovered

Kamloops RCMP have four people in custody after receiving reports of an intoxicated man with a gun.

RCMP Cst. Cheryl Bush says police were called about 2:30 Monday afternoon.

According to Bush police were told a man was yelling and swearing with a gun in his hand in the back yard of a residence on Fernie Place.

"Officers arrived on scene and were able to take four individuals into custody without incident, in relation to the complaint," said Bush.

"The investigation is in its early stages as police try to determine what the intent and motive of the individual was and whether the other parties were involved."

Bush said a bb gun, which can easily be mistaken for a 9mm handgun, was recovered at the scene.

Traffic is the area was restricted during the incident.
