Needle used in robbery

Kamloops RCMP are looking for a man who used a needle to threaten a clerk during a robbery.

Police were called to a business in the 200 block of Victoria Street shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday.

A man had apparently entered the store, pulled out a needle and demanded cash.

The suspect fled on foot heading south on 3rd Avenue.

He was last seen wearing an olive green coloured hoodie and dark coloured jeans.

The suspect is described as being approximately 5’8” tall with a slender build.

Police are canvassing businesses in the nearby area to obtain video surveillance in attempts to identify the suspect and are working to determine if this is linked to other recent robberies.

The investigation is ongoing and Kamloops RCMP are asking anyone with information to please call (250) 828-3000 or call Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
