UPDATE 1 P.M. - Kamloops RCMP have arrested a 34-year-old male in connection with a robbery at the Scotiabank just before 3:30 on Monday afternoon. The male was identified by officers shortly after the robbery occurred and was arrested without incident just after 9 a.m. this morning.
The male will be attending court later today.
Kamloops RCMP are on the hunt for a suspect who robbed the Scotiabank on Victoria street just before 3:30 p.m. Monday.
According to Cpl. Cheryl Bush a man approached a teller, demanded cash, and claimed to have a weapon, but did not produce one.
"The male made off with cash and nobody was injured during the incident. The investigation is in the very preliminary stages," she says.
The suspect is described as:
- approximately 30 years old
- approximately 5’7”
- bald with tattoos on his arms and face
- wearing a grey and white sweater, and white runners.
Kamloops RCMP is asking anyone who may have observed a man matching this description or have any information about the incident to call (250)828-3000 or call crime stoppers to remain anonymous.
