Meditating to Kamloops
The TNRD Library System is hosting a free introductory seminar on the practice of meditation, led by Evelyn Vipond-Schmidt from Shambhala Meditation, on Tuesday, March 4, 7 p.m., at the Kamloops Library.
The practice of meditation has been taught for more than 2,500 years as a vehicle for realizing the beauty and magic of the ordinary world without aggression or manipulation.
In Vipond-Schmidt’s seminar, she will discuss the power of meditation and cover the basic meditation techniques taught in the Shambhala community.
The event is free, but space is limited, so anyone interested in attending is urged to contact the Kamloops Library at 250.372.5145 to reserve a spot.
