Small fire in Industrial building
Fire crews in Kamloops were able to quickly extinguish a small blaze in an industrial building, Wednesday morning.
According to assistant fire chief Curtis Bossert, they were alerted to the scene after a passerby on the Halston Bridge noticed smoke coming from 1298 Kootenay Way.
He says crews had to deal with several potential hazards on scene such as propane tanks and acetylene tanks.
"The fire was quickly put out and now our investigators are just about on scene and will look at cause," says Bossert.
No one was hurt in the fire and the building was unoccupied.
